X0X haters can of course press . Remember: pressing is significantly less work than writing flame letters! ============================================================================= SPECIFICATIONS ===== Synthesizer part ===== - *true* 18 dB filter like the Real Thing, rather than the 24 Moog filters on most clones, like the BassStation. These filters sound very 303. - 5 digital potentiometers. These send out MIDI controller data for the following functions: * Tuning * Cutoff * Resonance * Filter * Decay - switcheable between saw/square - accents via MIDI controller data - slides on/off via MIDI controller data - audio input - Midi in, Midi out(+thru merged) My Humble Opinion on the sound: the filter sounds almost identical to the 'real' one. But there are a few differences with the 'real' 303: - the knob position on the TeeBee do not match the position on the 'real' - the cutoff, env mod, resonance etc can be set slightly more extreme than on the 'real' one - the TeeBee sounds *slightly* different from the 'real' one, but I can't exactly specify what causes this difference. Anyway, it's still better than the other clones! - No 'real' sequencer (forget the built-in sequencer, it's crap) ===== Interface part ===== - 4x CV out, both Roland and Korg standard - 4x Gate out, switcheable between positive/ground trigger - Each CV can be connected to any MIDI controller! (can be used for tweaking parameters on external synths). The CV's can be controlled by the TeeBee's own knobs or by an external controller device (such as a sequencer program or something like a Peavey PC1600) - Roland sync24 output (for connecting x0x-boxes) - the digital potentio meters turn smoothly - DOESN'T have very impressive CV-functions like the Pro-4 (LFO, Wasp/OSCar /DCB interface, etc) but does its basic job as you expect it. Hey, how many of you actually *need* a DCB interface or midi-clockable LFO's?;-) ===== General part ===== - 19" module - Runs from standard external 9-12V power supply - all setting memorized - sysex programmable - can dumb/receive sysex - also programmable from front panel - software is on EPROM, so it can be replaced if a newer version is released - good support from factory in Amsterdam - I like this thing, so if you can't find a 'real' 303 for a decent price, give this one a try at you dealer's. It sells here (in Amsterdam) for 875 gulden, straight from the factory. It pretty well known here in Holland, but for some reason not outside Holland. I'm not sure about the price in the States, UK or Japan. ============================================================================= BTW I'm *not* related to the factory.
