I found two back issues of Keyboard (7/85 & 8/85) that >had ads for Siel stuff. One was for the DK600 keyboard and EXP600 expander >which really didn't have much technical info. >The other ad was for the DK-80 which is the one I think we're referring to >here. There is some technical info for the keyboard, but I'm not sure if it >also applies to the expander which is mentioned in brief. Okay, here goes. From the July 1985 issue of Keyboard, pg. 11: 2 complete polysynths Discrete and overlapping programmable splits Every preset capable of remembering splits Split 12 key playable or layer 6 on 6 Midi In-Out-Thru with assignable channels Interval and chordal hold and latch Record and playback of sequence in real time up to 2 tracks Programmable stereo sweeps and panning Pedal control of preset number Sends sequence to an external keyboard Touch sensitivity with wide dynamic range ROM and RAM cartridges available for additional storage Easy one parameter programming As many as 150 sounds available on stage Switchable pedal controller option 2 LFO's, 2 6 point envelope generators Single or double trigger Modulation wheel (I imagine this is keyboard version only PAB) Dynamic Bi-timbric control Again, these are the specs for the keyboard version. If the rack version has substantially the same specs, it seems worth $50-$60 to me...then again, I'm the one who just bought an AX-80 for $300 :-( It's probably worth a try though...what do ya'll think?
