Date: Tue, 24 Mar 1998 17:07:13 EST From: Polymoog6 To: machines@hyperreal.org The siel dk 600 is an Italian synth made in 1984 or 83 I believe. it is 6 voice polyphonic and has to oscillators each capable of sawtooth, square , pw, or pwm via lfo. there is also 4 8 and 16 foots . osc 2 has fine and coarse de tuning and a half volume switch. there are 3 lfos technically 2. lfo 1 and 2 go to the oscillators and is fixed on sine , on my siel it wont modulate oscillator 2, butit still works on oscillator 1 and man does it go fast ( 40hz) lfo. 3 can be square, triangle or both at the same time it is dedicated to the filter and the pwm. it has a 24db/oct lowpass resonant filter which sounds pretty good it also has keyboard tracking and of course envelope modulation. no reverse envelope though ;( the envelope is standard a d s r and it has crude touch sensitivity and a feature which senses velocity and controls attack time according to touch ,but its very crude and random. it holds 90 or 93 patches but I can only access 20 on mine do to internal processor problems. overall its a good board I love mine aside from the rust, it getting very hot and being kinda heavy, and breaking down alot but its worth it .it was definitely worth 300$ u.s and a 3 month wait to get it fixed I recommend looking for one .
