You can play the TKB like a keyboard or with your tongue. There is a "pressure" voltage generated by touching keys, which I use all the time for Q (resonance), 1v/oct in on filters, VC to VCA, and also to VC control of DualSlope Generator. You can send (of course) a clock in (I've used lots of different sources) and break up the 16 stages into smaller units, if desired. The sequencer can go forward or backward & you can also get it to sequence up and down the rows as well as across (I think Kevin Braheny uses this to get his shimmering chords). And there is a random feature on the sequencer that I am not really well versed in. The hold feature makes for some really nice effects also You can also set it up so that the TKB sequences independent of the keys & still use pressure, key pulse, and key voltage features manually. I think the TKB goes for around $1200 or _less_ (I'm pretty sure less) ... I forget ... But it is an amazing machine ... I don't know HOW I lived without one! -Knox
