Lots of stuff is available for the 2000/2002, while the 3000 is not well supported because they were going out of business as the product was released. But the design seems to have been really good. If you want to buy or trade samples there are an amazing number of 2000/2002 samples out there. With the 3000 you are more on your own. 2000/2002s have trouble with their floppy drives, but also have an 8-out mod available. This is great for creating your own sampled drum machine with your own samples. The 2000/2002 has cool analog filters and VCAs for processing samples. Some of the early 2000/2002s have a very small amount of memory and you will need to expand it (by buying a kit from Wine Country who support it well if not cheaply). The 2000 has a keyboard and the 2002 is a MIDI rack module. I love my 2002. -Vance Gloster vance@netcom.com
