They are not bad sounding are are very easy to use. They also have analog trigger inputs on them. I have triggered the bass drum sound in one of them from a signal off of a mixer. Worked fine. They shouldn't cost you alot of money $30 - $50 or so. If you ever work as a persussionest they are coll because they are no work to get going ( they can run on batterys ). Just set them on the trap table, hook up an output and go.
