I havnt even seen it. The Juno-60 is, by far, the fattest of the bunch. Note that the 6 and 60 are pretty much identical, only that the 60 has memory and DCB interfacing. (Does the 6 have an arpeggiator like the 60?) As the name implies, it's 6 voice. 61 key keyboard, and like all the rest of the Junos, it's one osc per voice. On that osc you get saw and pulse waves with the ability to modulate the pulse width with the one envelope or the lfo. You also get a sub osc square wave, which is a strict square wave (no pwm) one octave below the osc's pitch. The filter is a 4 pole resonant LPF design, which is very rich. It's no SEM or anything, but the filter does sound a lot better than the other Junos. You get an ADSR envelope for VCA and the filter (doh!), but you can switch the vca into a gate-only mode which leaves the envelope dedicated to the fitler. And you can invert the envelope when modulating the filter. What defines the Juno-60 sound to me, though, it the extremely rich and wide chorus. In fact, I'd say it's the best chorus I've ever heard. Or one of them, at least. No MIDI-- it uses the Roland pre-MIDI DCB control buss. Find an MD-8 convertor or go for the new MIDI->DCB box being made by a Scandinavian company (the name slips my mind right now). You do get CV in on the filter and a triggerable arpeggiator, though. Oh, I nearly forgot. You also get a non-resonant non-modulatable HPF with a 4-position selector slider for cutoff. Useless imo. > What are resonable prices? For one in good condition, I'd probably go up to $300 USD. Tom Butcher Interlaced Digital Consulting
