Will the 2.2 do a unique Note that voices 1,3,5,7 are assigned to the sound located in GROUP A and the voices 2,4,6,8 are assigned to GROUP B. They also happen to be panned right and left, respectively. If you just start arpeggiating, you can get some weirdness unless you 'turn off' the voices you don't want to use, OR copy the sound from Group A to Group B from the main screen. The sequencer can be multitimbral on the 2.3. If you really, really want to use the PPG sequencer, be my guest. > The arpeggiator was cool! Now I need to get a special cable made and sync > it to the real world! arrgh! Do you know which cable to use? The cassete > dump cable is just one of those Rat Shack data cassete things right? The clock jack is also a DIN-5 jack. The PPG works very well as a master timing device. Set the DIP switches right on the 2 blocks and it will output 24 PPQ and drive Roland gear all day long. Best of luck trying to make the PPG be a slave and sync up to anything using that DIN jack. Supposedly the only 2 values it sees are 192 PPQ or 384 PPQ. Supposedly there exists JL Cooper boxes or Garfield boxes that will read other sync values and put out 384 PPQ. I have yet to find one that works. Supposedly DAC Crowell got his PPG to sync up to something using a Garfield MasterBeat or something, but I have never been able to do it with any Dr. Click product. If anyone knows a reliable way to drive a PPG as a slave, (other than MIDI) let me know. The trigger IN jack only trigger notes, it doesn't step the arpeggiator. -- _______________________________________________________________________________ Tom Moravansky tmoravan@netcom.com
