It's the most SEM-like synth Oberheim ever made. 8 patch memories, great fat early Oberheim sound, cv/gate in and out, good left hand controller side, 2 oscillators plus noise, nice sound. In general I like the early Oberheim sound better than the late one. I have SEMs, an OB-1, and an OB-X. The OB-1 is a great mix between having a cv/gate synth and a good fat sound with some modulation possibilities. If James Grahame ever puts out the Classic Synth sampling CD volume II, there's about 8 patches I put on there using the OB-1. _______________________________________________________________________________ Tom Moravansky tmoravan@netcom.com quiet electronics
