Keyboard control voltage (in / out) a) cut the tracebetween pin 1 and pin 2 of U12. b) cut the traces at pin 1 and pin 2 of U12. c) solder a 4.7K +/- 5% resistor between pins 1 and 2 of U12 on the trace side of the board. d) solder a jumper wire from the trace that formely went to pin 1 of U12 to pin 2 of U12. e) cut the trace going from R95 to U12 about 1 inch from R95. f) solder a wire from the R95 side of the trace to the trace which formerly went to pin 2 of U12. g) solder a 16 inch blue wire to the R95 side of the above trace (keyboard in). h) solder a 16 inch white wire to the 4.7K resistor at pin 2 of U12 (keyboard out). now conect the wires to there 1/4 jacks that you have to put on the back, make sure that they are normaled to each other when nothing is pluged in to the keyboard in. or you will lose control of the keyboard on your synth. each wire is conected to the hot side of its 1/4 jack. and needs to be normaled to the hot side of the other jack with a wire from the normaled side of the keyboard in to the keyboard out hot side. Now Gate (in / out) a) soder a 100k +/- 5% resistor between the bottom end of R78 and the jumper to the left of R78 on the component side of the board. b) remove the jumper located immediately to the left of the Emphasis control R140. c) solder the anode of a 1N4148 diode in the hole of the removed jumper nearest the edge of the board. d) solder a 14 inch white/orange wire to the cathode of the diode (GATE OUT). e) solder one end of a 10K resistor to the other hole of the removed jumper. f) solder a 14 inch orange wire to the free end of the 10K resistor ( GATE IN). now conect the wires to there 1/4 jacks that you have to put on the back, make sure that they are normaled to each other when nothing is pluged in to the keyboard gate in. or you will lose control of the keyboard on your synth. each wire is conected to the hot side of its 1/4 jack. and needs to be normaled to the hot side of the other jack with a wire from the normaled side of the keyboard in to the keyboard out hot side. Ok now try it out. you should have CV and GATE in & out if you have a moog with a sn# 4160 through 8077 this mod is for you. Keyboard control voltage (in / out) a) cut the INSIDE trace of U 12 at pin 2, NOT the OUTSIDE trace leading to R86. unsolder the side of R90 leading to the kybd in/out pad and top solder it to the side of R86 leading to pin 2 of U12. b) solder a 16 inch blue wire to the pad markerd kybd in/out located above U12 (KEYBOARD IN). c) solder a 16 inch white/blue wire to the bottom side (leading to pin 2 of U12) of R86(KEYBOARD OUT). now conect the wires to there 1/4 jacks that you have to put on the back, make sure that they are normaled to each other when nothing is pluged in to the keyboard in. or you will lose control of the keyboard on your synth. each wire is conected to the hot side of its 1/4 jack. and needs to be normaled to the hot side of the other jack with a wire from the normaled side of the keyboard in to the keyboard out hot side. Now Gate (in / out) a)locate R153 (to the left of Empasis control R136). b) locate the trace which runs along the bottom of the board and goes to the bottom of R153. c) cut this trace approximately 3 inches away from R153. d) solder a 1N4148 diode across the cut with the cathode band pointing toward R153. e) cut this trace again, approximately 1-1/2 inches away from R153. f) solder a 14 inch white/orange wire to the cathode side of the trace (GATE OUT). g)solder a 14 inch orange wire to the R153 side of the trace (GATE IN ). h) twist the wires together now conect the wires to there 1/4 jacks that you have to put on the back, make sure that they are normaled to each other when nothing is pluged in to the keyboard gate in. or you will lose control of the keyboard on your synth. each wire is conected to the hot side of its 1/4 jack. and needs to be normaled to the hot side of the other jack with a wire from the normaled side of the keyboard in to the keyboard out hot side. Ok now try it out. you should have CV and GATE in & out if you have a moog with a sn# 8077 and above this mod is for you.
