The "c" means console (piece of furniture) with angled front panel. The "p" means portable, in tolex-covered cases. The cover of "Switched-on Bach" shows a Model IIIp. Not-so-old Moog modulars include Model 15, Model 35, and Model 55. The "roman-numeral" models used the older series VCO's: 901A Oscillator Driver and 901B Oscillator pairs, or the 901 VCO which was pretty much both combined. The "multiple-of-five" models used the newer 921-series VCO's: 921A Oscillator Driver and 921B Oscillator, or the 921 VCO. These models were off-the-shelf configurations. Many Moogs out there are custom configurations. Just about all live shows with Moog modulars used the "p" cabinets (Tangerine Dream, Klaus Shulze, etc.). A noteable exception to this was Keith Emerson's custom modular in "c" cabinets - five stacked to be exact. As for module lists - I'll dig up my old doc's for ya.
