Yes, it's got "warm" sounding analog filters, the digital waveforms are pretty dirty though with very audible aliasing noise in the midrange/upper register. The envelope generators are kind of slow, not great for percussive textures, but they do have a couple of extra stages which can be useful. There are very few tools on this synth for creating "movement" in a sound besides filter modulation or detuning the oscillators. Although the oscillators can be modulated with the LFO, you can only modulate both at the same time, you can't modulate just one.Nothing like pulse width modulation or sync of course. The stereo out is sort of bogus, the voices aren't panned they are in mono, only the onboard effects create any stereo image. 8 voices but no split. The onboard effects, your standard cheap digital delay with chorusing, is cheesy but pretty cool. The arpegiator is fun. Gotta like that joystick. Overall, a fat sounding synth with low res digital oscillators and fairly limited programming capability. I wouldn't want it as my only analog but for $250.00 I ain't griping. Barry Bernard
