My first impressions of it are that it is beautiful, construction is very solid, and last but not least the possibilities for sound are immense. If you want a comparison to an original 303, I can't give you that as I have never used a 303 (except for rebirth if that counts). But, to compare it to a 303 would be unjust as these 2 machines have very little in common. Just that fact alone that the 777 has 32 knobs and 7 switches must give you some sort of idea that a lot more sound design is possible than your typical 303. Anything from the typical to the weirdest is possible. Very cool machine, sounds excellent and highly recommended. It's too hard to explain what you can do with this machine since the possibilities are so immense. If you want a 303, then this machine can do that. If you want to go beyond that then that's possible too. At $777 this is a good value considering what 303's go for these days and considering all the features the 777 has that the 303 can only dream of (like input for routing external sounds through the internal circuitry and filters of the 777, 3 pole and 7 pole filters, filter modulation control.....). If someone wants me to go into more detail I can do it in a few days. I must say a very professional product not to mention the people making these are very cool. Cheers. Brana
