Also this module features a switch between keyboard cv1 and cv2 or off. Guess this is for keyboard tracking. nothing special so far. the sound: Well, that's hard to describe. I did run several VCO's through it, including the one's from the mini with wide open filter (I know that filter is still in the signal path) and some Roland ones and finally even an ob8 out. the test result has been, that not only the EMU VCO's did sound very clear. It's not really Phat and pumpin' but a sound that simply stnds in the room. It's hard to describe. It's not negative. It is a nice filter, but neither pleasant and nice nor phat and aggresive. IT's resonance get quickly into heavy self osc, so you can make ugly weired sounds as well of course. I found the self res filter acting very precise to fm anddid quickly manage to get bizarre sounds. In fact I belive the weirder use is, what I'll use it for. Soft and fat sound, 'I got enough. But don't get en EMU, because I said it is not fat :-) Stefan -- * real electronic composers don't like their music be restricted * * to the physical limitations of the human hand - AH - a great list * * Stefan Gruhl * sngruhl@cip.informatik.uni-erlangen.de * * Monthly bonus sig: ************************************************ * "The course of true SOUND never did run smooth" * * freely taken from Midsummernights dream by Willy S. * ********************************************************************* *
