If not, what analog synths are appropriate to control it ? The Minimoog can't control anything because it does not have Keyboard CV and Gate outputs, only inputs. Many other synthesizers may be used, especially ARP which were particularly good in the interfacing department. You can't use the Korgs or others that used the V/Hz system without adding a logarithmic converter. The VCS3 CV characteristic is 0.32V/oct so you have to attenuate 1V/oct CVs with the Input Channel, just use the Level control to tune octaves. The Envelope can only be externally triggered via the keyboard socket, see my EMS mods page for details. A VCS3/Synthi A internal MIDI+CV/Gate retrofit card is under development.
