The ROM was about $40 plus shipping and a breeze to install. Blurb from their mailer: "Installing it in the Midiverb gives your unit some brand new (and improved!) reverbs as well as stereo echo, delay and special effects for adding simulated stereo to a mono signal. Intalling the kit in a Midifex gives your unit many more usable reverbs than it had before." Patch list summary: 1-8 = single repeat delay 9-13 = two repeat delay 14-15 = three repeat delay 16-19 = multiple repeat delay 20-21 = multitap random delays 22-25 = ping-pong/stereo panning effects 26-31 = stereo simulator effects 32-37 = various gated reverbs 38-58 = various reverbs ("80% short to medium") 59-63 = backwards reverbs My opinion of the factory patches is higher than theirs; I find them very usable. I have installed this ROM in one of my dishes for variety's sake. Surprised how many lovers of this old soap dish popped out of the woodwork! I like the envelope of their reverbs (hard to describe; like I prefer the envelope of a Bosendorfer over a Steinway) and also find the small rooms good for processing direct-recorded live jam tapes. - CM ============================================================================= Chris Meyer - CyberMedia Motion Graphics & Sound Design email: chris@cybmedia.com or CyberTrish@AOL.com fax: (818) 880-5099 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- "For tactical reasons," the blonde said, "we do not currently advocate the use of violence or sorcery against private individuals."
