It's a simple yet effective ROMpler, with nice-sounding filters (for being digital anway). It's easy to use. It IS somewhat techno-oriented, but it's just got so many different waveforms, you could do pretty much anything with it. It's totally worth $500 IMO, but that's only if you don't own much other gear. How does it sound and how are the drum sounds on it? I own one. it was my first synth ever and i think it is great. some of the basses r a little cheesey but this thing is awesome for strange sounds and i think it suits me for the industrial music i make. i dont think it would be to good for dance but if u want strange sounds and good pads this is the synth. theres is also nothing digital about it, all parameters r accessed via a matrix on the right hand side of the synth. it has a great arpeggiator. ~DinedHavoC~ Date: Fri, 18 Sep 1998 15:00:58 -0400 (EDT) From: David Evans To: XxTrooPxX@aol.com Cc: analogue@hyperreal.org Subject: Re: CS1-X XxTrooPxX@aol.com wrote: > > theres is also nothing digital about it, Ummm...errrrr...pretty much everything about it is digital. -- David Evans (NeXTMail/MIME OK) dfevans@bbcr.uwaterloo.ca Computer/Synth Junkie http://bbcr.uwaterloo.ca/~dfevans/ University of Waterloo "Default is the value selected by the composer Ontario, Canada overridden by your command." - Roland TR-707 Manual
