First, when I picked it up at the post office, I thought: "Wow, is this a light package. Is there actually the programmer in it?" When I unpacked it I thought: "This is really a TINY thing. It's so small..." It is about two/third of a 19" wide and not very deep. The biggest drawback so far seems to be the potentiometers. They feel extremely cheap and move far too easy. None of my other synths has knobs that offer so little resistance. Beside this, it looks very cool. Black finish with white silkscreening and wooden side panels. Unfortunately, the owners manuals are still not ready. Clever people will figure out the most things themselfes. During the next days I will try to hook it up to a Microwave and see what happens. And remember, there is a similar model for the Matrix 1000. Price is DM 591 + shipping. Translates to roughly about $380. Often this is the reason why you get no sound out of it." (ARP 2600 Owner's Manual) -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
