It's a digital machine, using eight bit samples. Good factory sounds and a lot of even better replacements soundchips. This was the first drummachine with samples where every beat could have a different tuning, and velocity. I had some very mean chips with simmons sounds. You can burn new chips with Oberheim prommer. >What type of >MIDI implementation does it have? Can the sounds be triggered from MIDI? >Are the sound worth triggering from MIDI? Can tuning be controlled by MIDI? The latest OS available from Wine Country allows triggering of sounds, tuning & velocity from midi. They may also have sound chips in stock. Due to the midi implementation you may have problems using it as a sound module. It's very flexible programming the box from a midi keyboard though. >Is $150US a reasonable price? Any info appreciated. > It would be in Sweden. /AW ------------------------------------------------------------- Anders Wikholm aka MOULIN NOIR "La musique, electronique, c'est magnifique" DATA from the album 2-Tone, 1983 -------------------------------------------------------------
