Play some notes (up to 40, shared >between two sequences). Flip the RECORD/PLAY switch to PLAY. It takes me a few more steps: 1. Start with left switch to "off", right switch to "play" (which is the normal way to play the thing unless 2. Right switch to "record". 3. Left switch to "seq 1" (or "seq 2"). 4a. Play notes. Timing doesn't matter. 4b. To sequence a rest, flip the right switch to "record", then back to "play". 5. Right switch to "play". 6. Left switch to "off". To playback, set left switch to "seq 1". The sequence will start immediately with no transposition (i.e., in the same key you programmed in). The LFO provides the gate; it's a 50% duty cycle square wave (sequencer "holds the key down" for half of the LFO period), so to play legato you need to use a longish release. To transpose on-the-fly, press any key and the sequence will be immediately transposed to that key. If you press the C key an octave up from the lowest key on the keyboard, you will get the key you programmed the sequence in. The D key to the right gives you 1 step higher, low C gives an octave down, etc. If you program the sequence in C, the transposed key will match up with the key you press. >Play a note. >The sequence plays back starting on the note you play, Mike, does yours really work that way? I wish mine did. One more thing. The CV out can go negative if you tranpose downwards so the sequencer is playing notes beyond the left end of the keyboard. Worst case is including low C in the sequence and transposing to low C, in which case you can get down to -1V (says the manual). And oh yeah, another thing that's hard to figure out about the Pro One by looking at the front panel is that you can get the LFO to retrigger on keypress by switching the arpeggiator on. fTom.
