From map@cs.washington.edu Thu Nov 17 18:01:22 1994 Date: Thu, 17 Nov 1994 14:52:49 -0800 (PST) From: Mike Perkowitz To: analogue heaven Subject: Re: TB-300? > Someone has a "Roland Rhythm Plus TB300 Drum Machine" for sale > in the local "buy'n'sell". well, i have a PB-300 Rhythm Plus. it's a little fake-wood-panelling (cool, eh?) preset drum machine/arpeggiator. midi. yes. i think it's meant to be like a home organ accompaniment piece. it has about 12 preset patterns. you plug in a midi controller and send its midi out to a sound source (they can be the same). when you give it chords it will arpeggiate or chord them (switchable) back over midi. it has 3 different patterns to go with each preset drum pattern (many of them are the same on diff patterns though). it also has a built in "bass" sound which is cheez-o-matic. let's see.. there is a fill-in pattern for each pattern which you can trigger with a button and/or set to come in at regular measure intervals. oh, and the sounds are remarkably similar to the sounds of a 606. mine would be much more useful to me if i could sync it to external midi clocks, but it doesnt really work. i dont know if mine is broken, or if that unit just wont really do that (it has an internal/external switch on the back though). m ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Feb 26 -- In a tragedy that shocks the nation, a massive bomb blast rocks the World Trade Center, just two days after the World Trade Center bombing episode of "Beavis and Butthead."
