God, it's been so long since I've seen one, but did play with it when it was being sold at the time. I had gotten the S-50 sampler. Essentially, the S-10 is a smaller version of the S-50. Samples are all mono, and there isn't ANY sample time in these units. For my S-50, there was 14 seconds of the "higher" quality sampling, which sounded pretty bad, and then you could choose a lower rate, and double your sampling time to 28 seconds. You archive your samples onto a 3.5 inch floppy. I have no idea, though, the sampling time on the S-10, and I know the reselling of the S-50 seems to always go around $400, so the S-10 would probably be quite a bit less. Also, don't know what country you're writing from with your emailing address. Isn't that Germany? You could, if you really want one of these, find the S-550, which is a rack version of the S-50 sampling keyboard. Same nasty thing but only 19 inches wide. They go for almost the same, price wise. Honestly, though, for the samplers that exist now, and how cheap sample memory is, you could buy a SIMMS Memory chip of 64-128 megs for A LOT less than the S-50 goes for. The only thing I did like, though, about the S-50 was the fact that you could literally POUND on the keys, and they never break! I still have mine something like 13-14 years later, and it still works great, sounds like crap, still, and haven't had any of the original floppys go bad. It's amazing.
