Yeah you did, and you didn't tell me about it right? Anyway here it is for those who have a Juno-60 and did not know about the secret test mode and how to access programs 80-98. == snip-snip JUNO 60 TESTINGMODE Fire the Juno up with the KEYTRANSPOSE button pressed. Now you're in testmode. Testmode let you have three different keyassign modes. You select assign mode with the arpeggio mode-switch. If the arpeggio mode-switch is: UP - mono mode. All 6 voices are assigned to the lastest key pressed. Very fat indeed. UP/DOWN - rotary mode. First key pressed will use for instance voice 1, they next key will use voice 2 and so on. If you now keep 4 keys pressed and releases three of them next key will be assigned to voice 5. Voices are always assigned in number order but the first key doesn't always assign voice 1. If you keep one key down, that voice will not be assigned until you release this key. I believe this is the same mode as used in Korg PolySix. DOWN - non-rotary mode. First key pressed will use for instance voice 1, they next key will use voice 2 and so on. If you now keep 4 keys pressed and releases three of them next key will be assigned to voice 1. Voices are always assigned to the voice available with the smallest number. I don't know how the normal keyassign mode differs from the rotary mode above. According to the service manual the voices are assigned in "cyclic manner" and the 7th key pressed steals the 1th voice. This sounds very much like the rotary mode but I might be wrong. Then the manual says there are "three more" key assign modes using the test mode described above. Anyway, there are at least three modes. In testmode HOLD button will work as normal. Arpeggio will also work. OK, now for the programs 80 to 98. Put a cord into the PATCH SHIFT connector. The cord should be non-connected on the other side. Now you can access the testprograms 80-98 in the normal fashion. Keep 5 down and press 3 for bank 8. Try program 85 in monomode and you're getting a nice clavinet type sound. Program 98 is called 0FFH according to the service manual, is sounds great. Note that these programs are for testing the synth so some of them will not _sound_ at all. === Per /I've had the servicemanual for months but I haven't really read the text in it until a few days ago. -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Sent from The Department of Media and Communications Science Mid Sweden University -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
