He did give me a reply stating that the trigger in was located in the 6 pin cinch jones plug and told me what each pin did. His info, I don't know if my machine differed from the rest, concerning each pin was a bit mixed up in the wrong order but it was easy enough for me to find it just by running a continous trigger and touching each pin. Anyways this is the simple dimple dimple mod I did to have a 1/4 jack trigger in socket. - Your gonna have to open her for this operation. Just remove the plastic covering on the bottom section. The trigger in pin is located in the accessory power 6 pin socket. Looking from the front panel, it is the first pin on the top row at the very left. I drilled a hole, "god no, you butchered her" on the flat part just below that panel area just big enough for a 1/4 jack. Anyways it looks actually cool when its put in for some reason. I used just standard 1/4 mono plugs and connected an insulated wire from the "tip" pin on the jack to the trigger in pin (which i mentioned above) on the accessory power socket and solder. Voila!!!!! Thats it. There is no need for a ground wire from the 1/4 plug, it actually cut out the trigger when i tried. Two more cool things I discovered; 1. The sonic six works on ordinary roland gate pulses ( no need for a s-trigger to v-trigger converter). 2. Unlike my micromoog, when you turn the attack up on the sonic six and hit it with a trigger, it will play the whole thing, not just a crappy pulse with a decay like on the micro. You can get some really cool envelopes in time with your drum machine. Its cool. anyways thats it from me, Ryan Palmer Ross.Palmer@gte.net
