The drums sound "unique" but when I think about it more they do sound anemic and not punchy at all. With ind outs this could maybe be helped but oh, fucked there. Teh synth did a similar thing for me. I loved it at first. Then whiel I was messing aroung I found someting very annoying about it. I was twiddling the cutoff and i heard both crackilng and very noticable stepping of the filter. Im not sure if it was the way I had the osc set, or if the showpeice was screwed or what, but it sounded crappy. I had the distortio on, filter 2 at 100 percent, ummm, I should have looked at what i had it set on more now that I think about it. Has anyone else heard the stepping in this? Couyld the unit I was tweaking have had a shitty pot or what? These things seem showy to me. When i bought my mc202 I hated it. Now I would not give it up for anything, after I got to know how to use it and learned it quirks and tricks i can get insanity out of it. The opposite seemed to happen with the electribes. I was happy cause the synth is 202ish ( a little) and sounded fat. The I twiddled with it and became uninterested. Im just glad I had a few minutes ( ok hours) to tweak it, if i had heard an audio demo or something i would have bought one right away. If you are thinking about buying one just make sure you play with it quite a bit before you buy it. Djadun
