The Bit-01 is a 3U rack synth with stereo outputs. After playing with the thing for a while I have come to love it. The unit isn't realy analog as it has two DCO's. Although many would turn their noses up at this, it is realy the strong point of this synth. The unit reminds me of an AX60 or Juno106 in some ways but can also sound very FM'ish at times do to it's DCO's. The Bit-01 has 2 DCO's, 1 VCF(multiple filter modes) 1 LFO, and 2 ADSR's. While going thru the patches in the unit many of them scream of "808 State" or "LFO" leads and bass lines. Although it's not MemoryMoog earth shaking, the Bit-01 will definately hold it's own as far as bass lines go. The best feature though has to be the ability to control the VCF and VCA from keyboard velocity. I used to have one- but all I have are lustful memories.. and David actually has a BIT (I'm jealous). ********************************************** T.
