These circuits all appeared in Electronics and Music Maker, and
Electronics - the Maplin Magazine.

Synchime is a module to create bell/gong like sounds,
Syntom is designed to create pitched sounds (like toms etc.),
Synwave creates noise-based sounds (cymbals, sea-waves etc.).

They're all cheap to build, with the components being readily available.
