MIDI to Roland Din/Sync24 converter. ------------------------------------ (1993 John A. Tuffen) This is a new (redrawn) version of my original MIDI->sync24 converter. It is in TIFF 5.0 format, compressed using Unix `compress' command. Other graphics formats tend to lose parts of the image. The drawing accompanying this textfile (mididin.tif.Z) requires a parts list so, here it is. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Resistors: Capacitors: R1 470k C1,C2 22pF (disc ceram) R2,R10,R14 1k C3 47uF (elect) R3 220R C4 3300pF (disc ceram) R4 1k5 C5 10nF (disc ceram) R5 470R R6 2k2 Transistors: R7 100k R8,R12 47k Q1,Q2 BC549 R9,R13 15k Q3,Q4 BC212L R11 680k Integrated Circuits: IC1 74HC393 IC2 TIL111 (or equivalent Opto-Isolator) IC3 6402 (UART) IC4 74HC20 IC5 74HC138 IC6 74HC32 IC7 4098 IC8 74HC74 Misc: X1 4MHz Crystal 2x 5 pin DIN sockets (for MIDI in and D/S out) --------------------------------------------------------------------- If you have found this useful, let me know. I'm currently working on a low-cost MIDI->CV/Gate converter. If you want to re-distribute this schematic, I would very much appreciate it if you could keep this file with the drawing. Wouldn't it be nice if there was some sort of shareware for schematics?? E-mail: jat5@unix.york.ac.uk or jat@ohm.york.ac.uk
