Devo Fairlight Series III 3 Prophet 5's 2 Pro Ones 2 MicroMoogs 2 Memory Moogs 1 MiniMoog 1 Linn9000 1 Simmons Kit (exact model unknown) Devo is not currently making music together. Most of the gear is sitting over at Mark Mothersbaugh's house. He plays it all the time Very PPG sounding waveform sweep on Devo's "Space Junk" was done with a MicroMoog. The "wheel" was used to modulate the VCO's waveform. Devo's "Race of Doom" is a great example of what happens when you have too many synths of Moog and Sequential Circuts design on the same song (I thing is sounds pretty good) - Bruce Henderson Going Back a little in their history... I know that back in the New Traditionalists And Oh No days, they used a CMI series IIx, but they claimed the sounds weren't up to snuff, so they just used it for Page R sequencing. Very present in those days was the Jupiter 8 and Rack-Mounted Minimoog (this detail sticks in my mind from a Keyboard interview with Mark's brother Jim Mothersbaugh, who used to do Tech for them before going to Roland). For those who care, almost every sound on the Thompson Twin's Side Kicks and Into The Gap was from the Oberheim OBXa, with a little Prophet 5... but not much. - Jim Reay On their visit to Sweden back in '90 they relied heavily on S-50:s. Multiple S-50:s, and some other *digital* keyboards. Made me frown a bit at first, but the music was still recognizable... :) - Mikael Lundgren
