This cakewalk file has a setup for the faders to program a Sequential Circuit Six-trak. It is organised very similarly to the figure 7-2 of the manual, the voice block diagram. There are 11 groups of knobs/sliders in all, distributed like this: Top row (knobs): osc freq: coarse, fine, glide freq mod: lfo, osc env amount waveshape: saw, triangle, pulse, pulse width, lfo mod mode: unison Second row (knobs): lfo: frequency, shape, programed amount mixer: osc/noise filter: cutoff, resonance, lfo, filter env amount, /\ osc amount, keyboard amp: voice volume Bottom row (sliders): osc env: invert, a, d, s, r filter env: invert, a, d, s, r amp: a, d, s, r These controllers work in all modes (omni on or off, arpegiator, sequencer etc...) as long as controller receive is enabled (control record-4). This will make programming much easier. Of course dont forget to save the patch once you are done, pressing control record, then select the patch number where you want to write your new patch. If you want to save a patch before replacing it, you'll have to use a sysex editor of some sort, and once the program is ready to receive, press control record-2. Another thing one must not forget: the six-trak will not send it's patch parameters thru controllers, so the controllers in cakewalk wont reflect the value in the six-trak until you play with each one of them. However, you can always set the sliders and knobs to zero and do a patch will all zero. That way, you'll always start with known values. control record-8 will clear every values in the patch with the exception of sawtooth, cutoff, keyboard, amp sustain and voice volume (it's called the basic patch).
