While the quality of the effects aren't exactly Lexicon, they're pretty darn good. Plus you've got very nearly every Boss effect ever made all in one unit. You can use up to, I think, 15 effects at once. Here a brief list, from memory: Chorus, Delay, Reverb, Noise Suppressor, Leslie, Compressor/Limiter, Cabinet Simulator, (Analog) Distortion, Vocoder, Wah-wah, Envelope Follower, Flanger, Pitch Shifter/Harmonizer, Vocal Eliminator, EQ, 2-channel virtual mixer, etc. etc. Plus it has a built-in tuner and metronome, and is extremely MIDI controllable. All in a one-half rack space. For its price-point, there isn't any multi-effects unit (that I know of, so far) with so many features. I've used mine on the road for a solid year and I've never had any trouble with it. - Jeff jeffjetton@aol.com jjetton@delphi.com jjetton@afm.com Article 51265 of rec.music.makers.synth: Path: nntp.cac.washington.edu!netnews.nwnet.net!reuter.cse.ogi.edu!uwm.edu!vixen.cso.uiuc.edu!howland.reston.ans.net!cs.utexas.edu!news.tamu.edu!jyk1590 From: jyk1590@tamucc.edu (John Kozak) Newsgroups: rec.music.makers,rec.music.makers.guitar,rec.music.makers.synth Subject: Re: Boss SE-70 effects processor -- opinions? BTW, i bought an SE-70 about a year ago and am pretty satisfied with it. i usually use it only for chorus, reverb and echo through my amp's effects loop. it also works well straight into a four-track. john
