Other external control: pedal/switch inputs Patch storage: about 150 patch locations, 100 programmable Available effect(s): phaser, chorus, distortion, amp simulation, vocoder, EQ, pitch shift, reverb, delay, and many others Each program is based on a particular basic routing (these are fixed; there are about 50 different ones). Each effect in that routing can be on or off, and has several parameters that can be set. not all of these parameters can be controlled via MIDI. Some of the effects (e.g. distortion) are actually analogue Interface: buttons, data wheel, decent display, all in a half rack space Routing: many stereo effects, many routings with mono input but stereo output, no way to place separate effects programs on the left and right channels (except for one or two routings that are set up this way) Tabletop/rack: half rackspace unit Known problems: Accessories: Related gear: SE-50: similar model, without the analogue effects (?) Price range: selling new for $600-$700 (in mid 1995) Availability: widely available new, somewhat rare used Comments: Strengths: good sounding effects, lots of possibilities, some midi control Weaknesses: some of the effects are noisy Overall: amazing amounts of power in a tiny package
