BTW DIY AHers can make their own trigger pads very cheaply. Just get a piezo "speaker" from Radio Shack. These work best if you include them in a sandwich. Drill a 1/2" hole in a sheet of wood, place the piezo over the hole with the wires coming out, then put the drumming surface over the piezo. Something fairly rigid works best. Metal works, but is expensive and feels weird to drummers. Graphite epoxy works great too, and feels better especially if you cover it with a thin rubber pad. Dense woods work OK, but dense plastics work better. Connect the wires from the piezo to a guitar cable and you have your unit. The small wires from the piezo are easily pulled off, so clamp down the guitar cable. Make sure you do not get the piezo that has the built-in oscillator. It will not work. -Vance Gloster vance@netcom.com
